How to get into IT

Our students will learn the Kholoda recommended path to enter IT industry. We discuss different type of job types available, duties, and the benefits/drawbacks of each position type. Some positions might offer bigger opportunity to learn and grow as a professional while you work, while others might be more tranquil however your access to different technologies will be limited.

Technical Training

Students will be provided with video training materials for the A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications. The training videos are pre-recorded and are always available. Exam attempt fees are included in the tuition (Limit is 2 attempts per certification, after that, students may purchase additional exam vouchers). We also have live classes running weekly 9AM-1PM PST that will cover the topics below. The live classes are a mix of lectures and hands-on follow along with the instructor.

Labs

Get hands-on experience with an at home computer lab. Our program includes a complete lab setup designed to give you practical skills: a computer, network switch, cables, and essential testing and cabling tools.

Internship

As part of training, students have several options for a non-paid internships. You will have a chance to work on a real projects and showcase your contributions and experience on your resume. The internships are optional and are highly recommended.


Career Guidance
As our students approach the completion of the program, we provide support to help them transition into the job market. We work closely with each student to craft a professional resume and guide them through the job search process.

Along with live classes and training materials, our students have access to our community chat, weekly live Q&A session, resume assistance, job search training, practice interviews, interview questions database and on-going post graduation career support.

Program Requirements

Our students must be able to study, advance, and dedicate about 20 hours a week for this course.

There are no guarantees of a job, this course will equip you with the fundamental technical and non-technical knowledge to be a highly qualified candidate for these positions.

How long is the course?

The course is self paced. The videos for the A+, Network+ and Security+ training are pre-recorded. Live class curriculum is about 6 months. Average training completion time is 9 months if a student allocates about 20 hours per week for it.

What is required from the student?

Time: about 20 hours a week study time. Equipment: A computer with a stable internet connection. You will eventually need a webcam and microphone for interviews.
